Barry Litwin serves as the CEO of Systemax, founded in 1949 and headquartered in Port Washington, NY. With over 1,600 dedicated associates and 7 distribution centers, they serve close to 400K customer annually. Previously, Litwin was the CEO of Adorama where he led a team of 550 through a business transformation. After orchestrating a two-year reboot of the financial, marketing, operational, and cultural practices, he implemented “FOCUS”, a three-year strategy and blueprint for disruptive and transformational growth in a highly competitive and mature consumer electronics market. His leadership, organizational development, innovative growth strategies, and keen guidance of the company led to double-digit revenue, profit and market share growth.
We’ve continued along that ACE path, continued to build the business for providing the right customer experience each and every day. Through the pandemic, we followed the strategy and continued to drive it forward but made some adjustments along the way. Seeing our shift and our pivot toward creating a best-in-class pandemic product line really helped us from April all the way through the current month. We’ve continued to ride that wave and leveraged a lot of the new customers that have come to us by selling them other products outside of just pandemic, including the broader MRO assortment.12 February 2021
