Jessica Shepherd, MD, MBA, FACOG, is Verywell Health's Chief Medical Officer. She is an engaging and well-known media personality that is seen regularly as an expert on Good Morning America, The Today Show, Steve Harvey, CBS News, and FOX News (NY, LA Chicago, and Dallas) among others. She has written in various journals including Cosmopolitan, Teen Vogue, Women's Health Magazine, Women's Day, Self, Family Circle, Parents, Best Health, and Essence.

Her passion for women’s health has allowed her to be an advocate for conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis, and health care disparities. In addition to radio programs nationwide such as Doctors Radio, NPR, and Tom Joyner, Dr. Shepherd also gives lectures nationally and internationally on health issues.

As a health care expert, she strives to educate people on their bodies and how to address their physical, sexual, and emotional health in addition to the incorporation of wellness.

She has been the main stage event speaker for BlogHer in LA and was a keynote speaker as well as one of the advisory board members for the inaugural BlogHer Health. As an expert in her field, she has now expanded her reach to keynote talks and her national appeal has allowed her to work with celebrities including Brooke Burke, Erin Andrews, Dr. Jackie Walters from Married to Medicine, and Laila Ali.

Her involvement with various foundations as a board member has allowed her to actively make decisions in the women's health realm. She serves on the board of the Multicultural Leadership Committee of the American Heart Association and also the Women's Health Foundation.
