Dr. Laurie Stradley is the Chief Program Officer at Alliance for a Healthier Generation. Laurie is a seasoned senior leader in public health and early intervention health care, serving on numerous local, state, and national coalitions driving the future of health.
Prior to Healthier Generation, Laurie was the director of wellness at Mission Health System in Asheville, NC, where she worked to improve employee health and well-being as well as population health strategies for the regional health care system. In 2010, Laurie became a founding staff member at the North Carolina Center for Health and Wellness at UNC Asheville, serving as the director of state and community collaboration.
At the core of her work in this field is a deep commitment to supporting schools and communities in improving children’s health—complemented by a strong appreciation for policy to improve health outcomes through legislative change.
“Just behind our healthcare workers are our educators, all of the adults who support our children in a school environment,” she said. “We must ensure we are ready to meet our children’s emotional and educational needs in a time of great trauma.”9 March 2021
