Jessica (“Jessi”) Gold, MD, MS, is an Assistant Professor and the Director of Wellness, Engagement, and Outreach in the Department of Psychiatry at Washington University in Saint Louis School of Medicine. She works clinically as an outpatient psychiatrist and primarily sees college and graduate students, as well as, faculty, staff, and hospital employees. She also teaches and mentors students and trainees. Dr. Gold is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. and M.S in Anthropology and a graduate of the Yale School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Adult Psychiatry at Stanford University where she served as chief resident from 2017-2018. She has received numerous awards and accolades for her many contributions in the areas of mental health and psychiatry. She is a nationally recognized expert and speaks at national conferences, is interviewed regularly for news outlets, and consults for publishing and media.
This is a very obvious call for mental health in medical clinics. If someone in a medical clinic screens positive for PTSD, for instance, they should be able to get a same-day appointment with a counselor in that clinic.8 March 2021
