Jimmy Hutcheson is the CEO of SPIN Magazine, as well as the CEO/Co-founder of Next Management Partners, PE firm that acquired SPIN Magazine from Billboard in 2020. His previous digital publishing rollup was acquired by Maker Studios founders' in 2015. Started alongside several investors, the firm became the first and one of the largest syndicators of premium video content for clients like Scripps (Food Network, etc.), and eventually Conde Nast, AOL and others. Properties included RumorFix.com (formerly owned and featured by Dr. Phil), BestMomsTV, and more. Hutcheson is also the business partner of Rich Battista, the former President of Time Inc and FOX, in a venture called Snakkle.com. Snakkle.com is a popular online entertainment magazine, boasting millions of pageviews and Fortune 500 clients.
After the exit to Maker Studios' co-founders, Hutcheson became an outsourced CRO to C-suite media executives, helping the President of the LA Times, the President of Investor's Business Daily, a Bertelsmann-backed influencer commerce company, and others generate strategic revenue and develop strategic business plans to navigate the complex world of digital publishing. Now, Hutcheson runs a private equity firm called Next Management Partners.
Previously, Hutcheson served on the Board of Nrelate which sold to IAC in 2012. He is currently on the Advisory Board of Affinity Networks.
Hutcheson was an Account Executive and Director of Business Development at RWB Marketing and Communications in LA. Accounts included Intel, Toyota, Lexus, Dow, Herbalife, and VW.
