Nachi Patel is an Interventional Cardiologist, dedicated to educating the general public on heart disease prevention, risk, diagnosis and treatment in terms that don’t require a medical degree to be understood.

Dr. Patel practices with Cardiovascular and Arrhythmia Institute in Mesa, AZ and is Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease, and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. A committee member of the American Heart Association, Dr. Patel also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix.

Additionally, Dr. Patel is active in multicenter research studies, including currently serving as principal investigator for the Angiosafe Peripheral CTO Crossing System Study (in plain terms, an experimental treatment to address complete blockage of one or more arteries in the legs caused by plaque buildup), and TORUS 2 (studying a new type of stent in treating severe blockages in the leg arteries).

Dr. Patel started his journey in the medical field by completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and then went to the Chicago Medical School where he received his Doctor of Medicine with a distinction in research. He did his internal medicine residency at Creighton University in Omaha, NE and cardiology fellowship at the University of Florida in Jacksonville where he served as chief fellow his third year. Dr. Patel made his way to Phoenix where he completed his interventional cardiology fellowship at Banner University Medical Center and advanced training in peripheral and endovascular interventions.
