Carmen and Tripp Eldridge are small-scale farming experts and the current Farm Directors at Arden, an award-winning residential agrihood in Palm Beach County, FL. Managing the community’s five-acre farm, Tripp and Carmen are pioneering innovative farm-to-table living in South Florida. Before joining Arden, they taught sustainable agriculture in Tanzania and Panama as Peace Corps volunteers.
“We hope to use the general store as a means to introduce people to other local growers,” Eldridge said, “so if they want to continue that relationship and have a more intimate connection with local growers, they totally can.”25 February 2021
"One of the key components to our position – beyond production – is weaving the farm into people’s lifestyle," said Carmen Franz, who co-manages the farm with her husband, Tripp Eldridge. "How do we engage with the community, what kinds of educational opportunities are we going to provide?"25 February 2021
“This is home now,” Tripp says. “We’ve planted lots of small trees around the farm, and we hope to watch them bear fruit. We have a lot of sweat equity invested in seeing the farm fully come to life as Carmen and I have envisioned it. It’s truly exciting.”25 February 2021
