Tyler Boyd grew up in Alexandria, Virginia, and made his way to Columbia College-Columbia University where he earned a spot on the varsity rowing team. After earning a degree in political science, Tyler continued his education by attending Columbia Business School and London Business School to earn an MBA in finance. After gaining experience at Credit Suisse and MVision Private Equity Advisers, Tyler made a move from the banking arena to enter the strategic consulting space. He joined Alex Castellanos as one of the first hires at Purple Strategies, a corporate strategic consulting and marketing company in Alexandria, VA.
For Tyler’s next venture, he was hired as a senior analyst at Health Catalyst Capital, assisting in the capital raise of its first fund ($100MM+) and first three Fund I investments within healthcare technology. From there, Tyler was brought on as Senior Vice President of Finance and Operations for Green Conversion Systems, a portfolio company of WAVE Equity Partners. Tyler led the finance team alongside the CFO, CEO, and WAVE Equity Senior Partners, and co-managed the process of developing viable municipal solid waste to fuel plants in the Los Angeles area.
