Bio

Yury's research spans from analysis of practical problems – for instance, least-cost scheduling of generators and optimal siting and sizing of energy storage – to developing theoretical techniques at the forefront of research in support of optimized operations of large-scale, cyber-physical systems and sparse networks. While these problems and techniques can be found useful in a variety of settings, he is mostly interested in their applications to reducing the use of fossil resources and their environmental footprint.
